Our Mission

His Kids Child Development Center is a vital ministry of First Baptist East Flat Rock. Our center is dedicated to providing an atmosphere of loving acceptance and an environment that makes learning an exciting experience. We provide a program that encourages each child to learn through participation. We are a 3- Star state licensed center.It is our mission to see each child grow in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). Each child is seen as a precious and unique gift from God.WE WILL ENCOURAGE ALL CHILDREN TO DEVELOP…SOCIALLY It is our goal to encourage each child to develop an attitude of kindness, cooperation, and helpfulness toward their classmates and teachers.MENTALLY Another goal is to stimulate each child’s interest in learning by being creative in organized activities and free time. Activities are developmentally appropriate and designed to meet the needs of each child. EMOTIONALLY We strive to instill in all children a sense of confidence of self-worth and uniqueness. PHYSICALLY When a child graduates from His Kids, our goal is to see improvement in muscular coordination and eye-hand coordination. SPIRITUALLY Our staff’s focus is to teach each child in the knowledge of God’s love, care, and concern. Their first goal is teaching always of His love, power and goodness to us through His Son, Jesus Christ

ENROLLMENT OPTIONS

FULL DAY CHILD CARE (YEAR AROUND)

Our center opens at 6:30 A.M. each week day morning and is open until 5:30 P.M. This is a year around program for children six weeks to four years. Children grow and learn in age appropriate environments. Upon graduation, children are ready to begin kindergarten. Children are also taught scripture memorization and Bible stories, and are brought together weekly for a time of worship and Bible lessons from our church staff.

SCHOOL FRIENDS SUMMER PROGRAM (JUNE-AUGUST)
Our School Friends Summer Program offers an energetic and exciting Summer packed full of fun and learning. Each day, students are brought into a bright and fun environment where they are surrounded by age appropriate activities and other students to interact with. Weekly activities, including: local field trips, hands on experiences, and creative ways of learning; bring each weeks theme to life for students. Students are challenged each week to live out a lifestyle as a follower of Christ, through scripture memorization, relative Bible stories, and weekly spiritual challenges. Students may attend School Friends until their 13th birthday.

ENROLLMENT COST & FEES
Registration Fee: $75 per child (This fee is paid annually)
Full Day Child Care (Children under 1 year old): $200 a week
Full Day Child Care (Children over 1 year old): $190 a week
School Friends (Summer Program): $135 a week (fees for field trips are not included in this price)
*a $10 a week discount is available for families with multiple children enrolled.*

His Kids Full Time Teacher Qualifications:

- Be a believer of Jesus Christ

- Be able to meet the standards of East Flat Rock First Baptist Church and be dedicated to teaching based on love

- Have EDU-119 or enroll within 6 months of hire

- Have a high school diploma or GED

- Be capable of being responsible for the safety of a group of children

- Be mentally and physically capable of working with children and perform duties assigned

- Be able to pass a thorough background check

- Have a physical exam and a tuberculosis screening prior to beginning work

- Answer a health questionnaire annually
